Everything you might want to know about ASPHP and JohnHelp. Don’t see your question? We’re one message away.
JohnHelp is ASPHP’s free resource platform. It helps people find trusted local support for food, housing, healthcare, jobs, education, transportation, legal help, elder care, and more, all in one place, in plain language.
Yes. JohnHelp is free for individuals, free for families, free for nonprofit staff, and free for the participating community organizations we partner with. There is no cost to find help and no cost to be listed.
Anyone. It is built for people seeking help for themselves or a loved one, for nonprofit professionals assisting clients, and for community partners working to connect people with support.
JohnHelp guides you toward resources across the twelve cornerstones of poverty: food assistance, housing, healthcare, workforce training, financial support, education, homeless services, transportation, mentorship, literacy, legal rights, and elder care.
No, the opposite. ASPHP and JohnHelp exist to support local nonprofits, not replace them. Our goal is to make it easier for people to find and access the trusted community organizations already doing the work.
JohnHelp helps people find available resources and programs. Whether direct assistance is available depends on the local organizations, agencies, and programs it connects you to. Think of us as the bridge, not the bank.
Resources are carefully selected and reviewed, and our platform continuously updates hours, eligibility, and contact details in partnership with the organizations themselves and the nonprofit staff who use JohnHelp every day.
We would love to work with you. Visit our Partner page to tell us about your organization. Listing and access are free, and our team will help you get set up.
